Do kursu można przystąpić w każdym momencie.

Stopnie medytacji pustki:

I – medytacja nad nieistnieniem jaźni
II – podejście czittamatry
III – madhjamaka swatantrika
IV – madhjamaka prasangika

Tekst do pobrania: Stopnie medytacji pustki wg Khenpo Rinpocze

We are pleased to invite you to the “Progressive stages of meditation on the emptiness” course organized by the Warsaw Buddhist Center KDC.

The “Progressive stages” is a series offering an insight into the experience of the ultimate nature of reality through meditation. This course is divided into five stages – otherwise known as levels – which lead through various aspects of Buddha’s teachings. You can join the course at any stage.

These are the stages of the meditation of emptiness:

I – The meditation on no-self
II – The Chittamatra approach
III – The Madhyamaka Swatantrika
IV – The Madhyamaka Prasangika
V – The emptiness of another, the Shentong approach.

This incoming November’s workshops will be offering a focus on the Chittamatra – the “only mind”. At this stage, the meditator learns to realise that all that he or she experiences is the mind.

The course will begin on the evening of November 8th and will last until Sunday, the 10th of November. All lectures will be presented in English, however polish interpreter will be present. There is a possibility to join lectures online.

It is important to highlight that the entire workshops’ series follows the guidelines of the Karma Kagyu Master – Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche (KTGR). This year mediation of emptiness will be taught by the KTGR student and Tibetan translator Birgit Scott.

One of the distinctive features of Rinpoche’s teaching activity is that he, based on the command of H.H. the 16th Karmapa, has revived the Kagyu tradition of ultimate bodhichitta’s progressive stages of view and meditation as well as the tradition of valid cognition. Rinpoche has not only done this in oral transmission but also in written compositions. This has resulted in the well-known English book Progressive Stages of Meditation on Emptiness as well as the Tibetan texts: Science of Mind, of Valid Cognition and Miraculous Key.

Birgit Scott has been a student of Rinpoche since April 1980 and, based on his guidance, her education as a Tibetan translator has resulted in numerous Danish translations, for example Lord Gampopa’s text Jewel Ornament of Liberation and Maitreya’s Distinguishing Phenomena and Pure Being.

Birgit will share the advice she has received by Rinpoche using all the above-mentioned texts. Over the course of five weekends there will be video recordings of Rinpoche stating the essentials of each view, discussions on how to implement these steps into daily life, and participants will be encouraged to meditate on each stage during the 2 months interim between the weekends.

Participation in the course is free of charge but requires prior registration at biuro@marpa.pl. To support our series we would kindly ask for voluntary donations. The suggested donation for the second level program is 200PLN and can be transferred to the Polish bank account – PL 20 1090 2590 0000 0001 3214 4871.

Nr konta: PL 20 1090 2590 0000 0001 3214 4871
